Vote Your Values

Election Day is in eight days. Are you ready to vote? I hope so.

Voting someone into power who represents your values is a rare freedom in human history. And that freedom comes with significant responsibility: be clear what your values are and understand how they could be impacted on Election Day.

Keep in mind the following values that every American ought to vote to protect:

  1. We want a society that believes every single human life has value and deserves respect and dignity.
  2. We want a society that believes marriage and family are not merely religious ideals, but gifts that allow civilization to thrive.
  3. We want a society that believes in religious liberty. Religious freedom allows citizens to believe and act according to a higher allegiance than the government. When our highest allegiance is the State, government determines where our loyalties should lie.
  4. And, finally, we want a society that protects freedom of speech. Equally as important as the freedom to believe certain values is the freedom to speak about those values. Without freedom of speech, the government controls what we can and can’t say in the public square.

I’ve traveled to 70 different countries, and every trip has reminded me just how unique and priceless the freedom to vote is. Your one vote really does have power.

But only if you use it.
