Amid Media Viewership Declines, E! News Surges With 11 Billion Views In 2024

EXCLUSIVE: E! News saw some impressive growth in 2024 with 11B views across all digital and social content — up 50% from the year prior.

The success was led by Instagram, which was up 49% to 5.6B video views, according to internal data from NBCUniversal. Its sister platform Facebook saw the largest growth of the year with a 261% lift from 2023 to tally 1.2B video views.

TikTok collected 1.9B video views, marking a 52% uptick from 2023, and YouTube saw a 61% increase with 271M video views across E!’s main channels.

E! News also launched its latest digital series Hot Goss in October. The first four episodes generated 20M video views and 222K social engagements across all platforms. According to the brand, the content reached about 16M users.

Hot Goss features Eyal Booker and Lonnie Marts debating the week’s buzziest celebrity news story all while sitting shirtless in a sauna. It’s one of two new digital series E! News launched in 2024, along with E! News’ The Rundown, hosted by Erin Lim Rhodes on Snapchat.

This year, the brand plans to launch two more digital series focused on pop culture. There’s Re!cap, featuring a panel of pop culture insiders giving their hot takes on tentpole events and The Greatest Year In Pop Culture, which is a docuseries revisiting defining moments from the last three decades.
